Physiotherapy OPD

The Physiotherapy Out-Patient Department, jointly functioning under the ShriRamchandra Institute of Medical Sciences (SRIMS) College of Physiotherapy and Dr. Hedgewar Rugnalaya, serves as a vital clinical training ground where students gain hands-on experience in delivering patient-centered physiotherapy care. The department is NABH accredited, ensuring high standards of quality and patient care in all clinical services. The department provides comprehensive outpatient services to individuals with neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, geriatric, and post-operative conditions.

This clinical setup bridges academic learning with real-world application, allowing students to work closely under the supervision of experienced faculty and healthcare professionals. They are trained to assess, diagnose, and implement physiotherapy management protocols tailored to each patient’s needs. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ethical clinical care.

The OPD is well-equipped with advanced therapeutic modalities and exercise tools, providing students with exposure to a wide range of clinical cases. Regular clinical audits, case presentations, and interactive sessions enhance students’ clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities. Additionally, the department fosters a compassionate, patient-focused approach to rehabilitation while maintaining high standards of professional conduct.
